Aurthohin reunion set for Rafa’s solo concert

TBT REPORT

After nearly two decades of making his mark on Bangladesh’s rock music scene, Raef Al Hasan Rafa is set to return with an exclusive solo concert, “Eto Boka Keno Tumi,” celebrating the release of his new album of the same name.

The concert will take place at InterContinental Dhaka on 2 October, bringing together some of the most familiar names from the legendary “Aushomapto” lineup of Aurthohin. Bassbaba Sumon, Raef Al Hasan Rafa, Shishir Ahmed and Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal are set to reunite on stage for what promises to be a special musical evening.

The new album features a collection of songs by AvoidRafa, reflecting the band’s evolving sound, ideas and experiences. Through the album, Rafa continues to explore different musical expressions while retaining the energy and identity that have defined his work over the years.

Rafa has been an active presence in Bangladesh’s music scene for around two decades. He is widely known for his association with influential bands such as Aurthohin and Cryptic Fate before forming AvoidRafa.

At the upcoming concert, Rafa will perform several of his popular songs, including “Cholo Arekbar Uri,” “Tumi Daklei Firbo” and “Ami Akash Pathabo.” Alongside the performances, he will share stories and experiences from different stages of his musical journey, offering audiences a closer look at the artist behind the music.

The event is presented by Dhaka Broadcast and organised by X Force.

The organisers are expecting an evening filled with live music, powerful performances and the distinctive energy of AvoidRafa. The concert will give fans an opportunity to experience the new album live while revisiting some of the familiar favourites that have become part of Rafa’s musical journey.
