With just three days to go for its worldwide release, Drishyam 3 is already making plenty of noise at the box office. The Ajay Devgn-led crime thriller, officially titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, has clocked strong advance bookings, setting the stage for what could be one of the biggest opening days in Hindi cinema this year. With its current pace, the Abhishek Pathak directorial is gearing up to challenge recent big openers such as Mirzapur: The Movie and Border 2.

As of 5 pm on Tuesday, September 29, Drishyam 3 had recorded an advance booking gross of Rs 8.97 crore for Day 1, selling 2.24 lakh tickets across 7,505 shows, according to trade website Sacnilk. Across the first three days for which shows have been listed, the film has already generated Rs 17.35 crore in advance bookings, including Rs 11.12 crore excluding blocked seats.

The film has collected Rs 4.74 crore in advance bookings for Day 2, with 1.25 lakh tickets sold across 6,915 shows. Day 3 has so far contributed Rs 4.02 crore, with 1.09 lakh tickets sold across 6,787 shows.

Maharashtra has emerged as one of the biggest contributors to the film’s Day 1 advance sales, accounting for Rs 2.93 crore, while Delhi has added Rs 2.19 crore to the overall haul.

With three days still left before release, Drishyam 3 is currently tracking towards an opening of around Rs 40 crore in India. If the momentum continues, the film could enter the opening-day conversation alongside recent high-profile releases such as Mirzapur: The Movie and Border 2.

Mirzapur: The Movie earned an estimated Rs 24.75 crore nett, while Border 2 collected an estimated Rs 32.10 crore nett.

For context, Drishyam 2, which released in 2022, opened with an India nett collection of Rs 15.38 crore on November 18. Its domestic gross stood at Rs 18.15 crore, while the film collected Rs 64.14 crore during its opening weekend.

The third instalment, meanwhile, is already showing significantly stronger pre-release traction. The advance booking numbers suggest that Ajay Devgn’s return as Vijay Salgaonkar could give the franchise its biggest opening yet.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion sees Ajay Devgn reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, the central figure of the franchise. The film also stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat. Positioned as the final chapter in the franchise, the film once again follows Vijay and his family as they find themselves caught up in circumstances stemming from the events that have shaped their story.Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is set for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
