The students finally returned to the school classroom after a year and a half. On Sunday (September 12) morning, children were seen walking to the educational institutions on the way to the neighborhoods across the country. Someone came with a guardian. Someone has teamed up with classmates.

Someone was alone. They were wearing school dresses and backpacks. After 544 days, real joyful atmosphere came back to the school classroom. The teachers and students were overwhelmed.

The students in particular were overjoyed to find classmates after a long time. On that day, teachers in many educational institutions have welcomed the students with flowers, books and chocolates. All the students had to enter the class following the hygiene rules.

According to the decision of the government, even if the school-college is opened, not all the students will go together. Only SSC and HSC candidates of 2021 and 2022 and fifth class students will go to the educational institution every day (six days a week).

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni said, schools and colleges have been opened all over the country on Sunday considering the right time. But I had many messages not to open school-college.

She said this while visiting Azimpur government Girls School and College on Sunday (Sept 12). She said the educational institutions have been reopened as the rate of corona infection is declining.

We assumed that the infection rate would drop to close to 5 percent by September 11th. On this basis we decided to open an educational institution. We think this is the right time to open an educational institution.

She said that educational institutions across the country have been opened on Sunday. Enthusiasm is prevailing in everyone from students to parents. I have received hundreds of messages that do not open educational institutions. In fact, there are many opinions everywhere. We have to make a decision from that. Even though the educational institution is open, we have kept that thought in mind. If there is any apprehension, we will go back to the previous method without bringing the students to the classroom.

Dipu Moni said that not everyone is aware about cleanliness. Those who visit educational institutions should be aware. You have to look around the school so that there is no filth anywhere. Regarding school dress, she said, “You should not put pressure on students about school dress.” Those concerned have to take responsibility in this regard. A control room has been set up in each district to monitor the matter. Its numbers will be announced later. If anyone calls these numbers, I will take action to solve any problem of the educational institution. She also urged the parents not to put pressure on them with their salaries. Besides, a room on the ground floor of Azimpur Government School and College was found to be unclean. Dipu Moni also directed to suspend the principal Prof. Hasibur Rahman as well as members of the monitoring committee formed under his leadership.
