With profound sadness and in complete submission to the will of Allah SWT, we announce that Kazi Shamsul Haque, Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Bangladesh and Honorary Chairman of Lakeshore Hotels, returned to his Creator on 28 September 2026 at 8:49 PM.
Originally from Bikrampur, he completed his Master’s degree from the University of Dhaka. Before the independence of Bangladesh, he began his professional journey as a banker at Pakistan Shilpo Bank. Following independence, he ventured into business, where he became known as an honest and principled businessman who placed integrity, trust and responsibility at the heart of his work.
Throughout his life, he remained a humble and generous man who believed deeply in helping others. He was a philanthropist, a devoted family man and a true people’s person, treating people from all walks of life with warmth, dignity and kindness.
His family remembers him not only for what he accomplished, but for the values he lived by and the love, guidance and generosity he extended to those around him. His life leaves behind a legacy of faith, honesty, compassion, service and devotion to family.
His Janazah will be held on 29 September 2026, Baad Zuhr, at Azad Mosque, Gulshan-2, Dhaka.
The family humbly requests everyone to attend his Janazah and remember him in their duas and pray for his maghfirah. May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and acts of charity as Sadaqah Jariyah, illuminate his grave, shower him with His boundless mercy and grant him the highest station in Jannatul Firdaus.
