A day after the makers of Love & War unveiled Ranbir Kapoor’s character poster, actor Alia Bhatt’s first look is also here, and it’s steeped in retro glamour. Draped in rich colours and framed against an opulent backdrop, Alia looks every bit the Bhansali heroine, bringing a touch of old-world drama to the highly anticipated film, which also stars Vicky Kaushal.
The reveal comes ahead of the film’s worldwide release on January 21, 2027 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. After Ranbir’s vintage and rugged avatar, Alia now steps into focus with a look marked by bold styling, a striking headpiece and a poised expression.
In the poster, Alia is seated on a chair in a dramatic red-and-black ensemble.
The setting follows the same dramatic tone. Bathed in shades of red and gold, the backdrop features stage lights, sparkling details and a grand theatrical atmosphere.
Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, “Aag bhi, dilon ki jaan bhi! (Both fire and the life of hearts) Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027. See you at the movies!”
In his first look, Ranbir was shown in a distinctly vintage avatar, seated behind the wheel of a turquoise convertible. With slicked-back hair, a pencil moustache and round sunglasses, he carried an old-school charm.
The image also carried a darker detail, with Ranbir’s bruised and bloodied left arm resting outside the car, adding a gritty edge to the otherwise composed frame. His poster was set against a retro backdrop filled with vintage architecture and cars.
Sharing the first look, the makers wrote, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” Another post was captioned, “Ishq bhi. Jung bhi. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027 (sic).”
Love & War also stars Vicky Kaushal. The film marks Ranbir’s reunion with Bhansali after Saawariya (2007), which also marked the actor’s debut. Bhansali is directing and producing the film.
