46,563 get 2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Rangpur division

RANGPUR,  – Some 46,563 more citizens were inoculated with the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today in Rangpur division where the Covid-19 vaccination campaign continues smoothly.

“Among the 46,563 new second dose recipient citizens, 3,471 were inoculated with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine, 349 citizens with AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine and 42,743 others with Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine today,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam told BSS.

With the inoculation of 46,563 new citizens with the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the second dose recipient citizens rose to 13,46,551 in the division.

Among the second dose recipient 13,46,551 citizens, 5,35,271 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 6,99,712 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,11,568 others with Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

Meanwhile, 29,716 citizens were vaccinated today with the first dose of the jab, including 11,810 with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine and 17,906 with the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

“With the inoculation of 29,716 citizens with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the first dose recipient citizens rose to 22,53,824 in Rangpur division,” Dr Islam said.

Among the first dose recipient 22,53,824 citizens, 8,49,100 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 12,73,804 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,30,910 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.
