43 more schools nationalized

DHAKA: Fourty-three more secondary schools of the country have been nationalized as part of government’s latest nationalization program.

The Education Ministry’s Secondary and Higher Education Department issued a notification to this effect on Monday (Sept 24).

According to the notification, the nationalization is effective from today and teachers currently working in these institutions can not be transfer to other institutions.

The list of these newly nationalized schools is available on the Secondary and Higher Education Department website.

The Education Ministry said, with the addition of these 43 schools, the number of government schools stood at 368.

Earlier 44 schools were nationalized on Sep 13 and 12 more on August 12.
