The 10th outlet of Asmi Super Shop and Shopping Zone BD Ltd. has opened in Hemayetpur. The main goal is to provide quality products and essential services at affordable prices for workers and lower-middle-income people. The company says it is Bangladesh’s first worker-friendly super shop.
The grand opening took place on Friday, August 28. The event was chaired by Delowar Hossain Rubel, Chairman of Asmi Trade Ltd. and Shopping Zone BD Ltd. The chief guest was Tanjina Islam Sormi, Founder, Managing Director, and CEO of Asmi Group. Mohammad Amiruzzaman Mia Jewel, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank was the Special Guest.
The super shop offers fish, meat, chicken, groceries as well as clothing, shoes, bags, and fashion items. It also has a pharmacy, tailoring service, mobile shop, coffee shop, juice bar, and an “Asmi Doctor Room.” Customers can buy some products through installment plans and can also shop online.
In his speech, Delowar Hossain Rubel said that the shop was opened by considering the daily needs, lifestyle, and purchasing power of workers. The aim is to help workers buy all their necessary products from one place at fair and affordable prices. The company plans to expand the super shop to more locations.
Tanjina Islam Sormi said that the company is committed to providing high-quality products at reasonable prices not only for workers but also for the general public. She added that there are plans to open more outlets in different industrial and worker-populated areas across the country.
She explained that the main purpose of the project is to create a complete shopping solution focused on the needs of working people. By combining everyday products with different services, the shop aims to make shopping more affordable, convenient, comfortable, and time-saving.
The company also stated that it will follow the slogan “Affordable Shopping at the Best Price.” It promises to ensure good product quality, accurate weight, and fair prices. In addition, 5% of the income from Shopping Zone BD Ltd. will be donated to the social and humanitarian activities of Alay Foundation.
