Game developer bethesda confirms wolfenstein iii

After the spinoff title to the Wolfenstein series, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, got announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year, fans felt that the fate of the original series that began with Wolfenstein: The New Order, was sealed and speculations were there that the sequel to the game would be the end of story for protagonist BJ Blazkowicz.
But fans of BJ Blazkowicz driven-storyline need not despair. Wolfenstein III is coming soon and it was confirmed by Pete Hines– Bethesda vice president of global marketing and communications– in a recent interview with Metro.
“Absolutely we’re making a Wolfenstein III,” he said. “They said on stage that they’re taking a break from the larger story to do [Wolfenstein: Youngblood]. But we all have to see how that ends.”
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus — the eighth main title in the Wolfenstein series and the sequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order — came out in the later part of last year. It was set in an alternate history line in the which the Nazis have won the Second World War instead of the Allies. The game storyline sees war veteran William “BJ” Blazkowicz fighting against the Nazi regime in America.
Fallout 76, Doom Eternal and a host of other big titles planned by Bethesda.
Bethesda is planning to launch a number of big titles in the next few years like Fallout 76 that will come out on November 14 while others like Doom Eternal, Rage 2 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be launched next year. Also, Bethesda has got Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI planned in the line-up along with Wolfenstein III.
The upcoming Wolfenstein title, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set in the 1980s and has the twin daughters of BJ Blazkowicz Jessica and Sophia as the protagonists as they continue the war against the Nazis. You can play the game in single-player and co-op mode both. Next year will also see the launch of the VR game Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot.
