

TBT Desk : Mohammed Alimullah is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur, corporate executive, real estate developer, film producer, story writer, film organizer, and community leader. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jaaz Multimedia, one of Bangladesh’s leading film production and distribution companies, and as the Managing Director of Landmarx Construction & Development Ltd. His professional career spans the real estate, film, and community development sectors in both Bangladesh and Canada.
Early life and education
Mohammed Alimullah was born in Moghbazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Shah Noori Model High School in 1984 and his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Kalim Ullah Moha Biddaloy in 1987.
After completing his HSC, he enrolled at Jagannath University. In 1990, while pursuing his studies, he left Bangladesh in search of higher education and career opportunities abroad. After living in several European countries, he settled in Montreal, Canada, in 1995.
In 2000, he obtained a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Accounting from JFK Centre, Montreal. In 2004, he completed the Real Estate Diploma from the Greater Montreal Real Estate Board (GMREB), qualifying for professional practice in Quebec’s real estate industry.

Career in Canada
Following his real estate qualification in 2004, Mohammed Alimullah began his professional career with Century 21 Immo Plus in Montreal.
He received several sales performance awards, including the Century 21 Ruby Award (2004), Century 21 Emerald Award (2005), and the Century 21 Centurion Award (2007 and 2008). He was recognized as one of Century 21 Immo Plus Canada’s top-performing real estate professionals for four consecutive years.
In 2008, he became Chairman of a Canadian real estate company, expanding his involvement in real estate investment, property development, and corporate management.
Landmarx Construction & Development Ltd.
In 2009, Mohammed Alimullah co-founded Landmarx Construction & Development Ltd. and has served as its Managing Director since its establishment.
Under his leadership, the company expanded its operations in both Canada and Bangladesh, focusing on residential and commercial real estate development, construction, investment, and property management.
Community leadership in North America
While residing in Canada, Mohammed Alimullah became actively involved in the Bangladeshi diaspora community through several non-profit and community organizations.
In 2010, he served as Joint Secretary of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA). In the same year, he also served as Vice President of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in Canada (FOBACA), contributing to community development, cultural initiatives, and the promotion of Bangladeshi heritage among the Bangladeshi-Canadian community.
Return to Bangladesh
In 2011, Mohammed Alimullah returned to Bangladesh to continue his business activities while becoming actively involved in social and community development.
In the same year, he founded the Nirapode Choli Society, an organization promoting road safety awareness and safer transportation practices throughout Bangladesh.
Between 2015 and 2016, he initiated efforts to introduce a digital CCTV surveillance system across the Moghbazar area to improve public safety.

Jaaz Multimedia
Since 2013, Mohammed Alimullah has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jaaz Multimedia.
Under his leadership, the company has been involved in film production, distribution, digital cinema, international co-productions, talent development, and international film collaborations.
Moghbazar Society
In 2019, he founded the Moghbazar Society, a community-based organization working in the areas of community development, education, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, public safety, and social welfare.
Film production
Mohammed Alimullah is a Bangladeshi film producer and story writer.
He produced and wrote the story for the feature film MOYNA. The film was officially selected for the Ahmedabad International Film Festival (AIFF), India, and also received official selections, finalist, semi-finalist, shortlisted, and award recognition at several international film festivals in India, Italy, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Bangladesh. According to published reports, the film has received multiple international awards and recognitions, contributing to the international promotion of Bangladeshi storytelling and cinema.
Film industry leadership
Mohammed Alimullah was elected Joint Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association for the 2017–2019 term.
He also served as a member of the Election Commission of the Bangladesh Film Club in four consecutive elections.
Real estate leadership
During the 2024–2026 term, Mohammed Alimullah served as Chairman of the REHAB International Fair Committee, where he led the organization of Bangladesh’s international real estate exhibitions and promoted investment opportunities in the country’s housing sector.
Sports administration
Since approximately 2020, he has served as Senior Adviser to the Bangladesh Professional Boxing Federation, supporting the development of professional boxing and youth sports in Bangladesh.
