

Desk News- New clothes and educational materials have been distributed among underprivileged children in Susua Char of Bhuapur Upazila in Tangail. The program was held on Tuesday (30 June) at 10:00 AM at the field of Susua Welfare Association.
This initiative was undertaken under the ‘Child Sponsorship Program (CSP)’ with funding from the international donor organization Human Concern International (HCI) and implemented by the non-governmental development organization Shushilan.
The program was inaugurated by the Acting Chairman of Arjuna Union Parishad, Md. Delwar Hossain Delsad, as the chief guest. Among others present were Monirur Rahman, Founder of Susua Welfare Association, Ruma Khatun, Field Facilitator of the CSP project, and other local dignitaries.
Under this program, a total of 69 children received new clothes, school bags, water bottles, umbrellas, and various educational materials. The educational materials included for each child: pencils (1 box/12 pieces), 2 sharpeners, 3 erasers, colored pencils (1 box/12 pieces), oil pastels (24 colors) 1 box, 3 drawing notebooks, and 3 exercise books. In addition, calculators were distributed among 50 children.
Receiving these materials brought joy and a festive atmosphere among the children. The beneficiary children and their guardians expressed their sincere gratitude to Shushilan and HCI for their humanitarian support and continued cooperation.
The organizers stated that such initiatives play an important role in the education, creativity, and mental development of underprivileged children, and such support will continue in the future.
Overall supervision was provided by Kazi Faisal Kabir, Monitoring Officer of the CSP project.
