The third edition of TURAAG ACTIVE DHAKA 25K 2026 concluded successfully on Friday 19/06/2026 at Hatirjheel, bringing together nearly 3,000 professional and amateur runners from Bangladesh and abroad in one of the country’s largest road-running events.
Organised by Run Bangladesh and powered by Turaag Active, the race was held under the theme “Road to Glory.” The flagship 25-kilometre race began at 4:00 AM from Hatirjheel Bus Stop, featuring a newly introduced anti-clockwise route around the lake.
The event further strengthened Bangladesh’s position on the international running map, with the race being a recognised member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and its route certified by World Athletics. This year also marked the introduction of a 3K Wheelchair Category, promoting greater inclusivity in sports.
In the elite categories, Mamun Ahmed claimed the men's 25K title with a time of 1:32:22, while Hamida Akter Jeba won the women's race in 2:00:18. Winners across different categories shared a total prize purse of BDT 200,000, along with trophies, medals and gift hampers.
Speaking after the event, Run Bangladesh CEO and Race Director Sajnan Mohammad said the growing participation reflects the increasing popularity of running in Bangladesh and the organisation’s commitment to building a stronger running culture with global standards.
The event ended with a festive atmosphere as thousands of runners celebrated their achievements and received finisher medals, highlighting the spirit of fitness, endurance and community.
