Popular film actor Riaz is set to star in a one-hour Eid special telefilm titled ‘Bhai Boroi Premik Purush’ against popular face of the small screen Sarika Sabrin. Now shooting of the telefilm is going on in the old parts of Dhaka. Riaz will be playing the role of Mojnu, a resident of Old Dhaka who falls in love and gets his heart broken quite easily.

The telefilm is directed by SA HaqueAlik. In April of this year, Riaz was diagnosed with Covid-19 twice in a row. Now, he is completely healthy. He said, “I want to be involved with innovative works, so that I can enjoy my own work. At the same time, I want to offer something new to the audience with every endeavour.”

However, Riaz informed that he will also be seen in Shyam Benegal’s biopic on Bangabandhu. He has completed his shooting in India for the film. His other upcoming film, Dipankar Dipon’s Operation Sundarban is awaiting theatrical release.
