Women's Summit and Exhibition 2026' on held

Role and importance of women in national economy

A two-day ‘Women Summit and Exhibition 2026’, aimed at women empowerment concluded on Sunday.

Organised by 'Power of She', the event was held at Elite Convention Hall in the city's Gulshan in the capital city of Dhaka.

The theme of this special event was ‘Role and Importance of Women in the National Economy’ its slogan was “She Leads, She Shines”.

Began on Saturday morning, a total of 38 stalls displayed their various domestic products made by women entrepreneurs.

This exhibition, which combines clothing, handicrafts, lifestyle products, homemade food, skincare, jewelry and various creative initiatives, was aimed at working as an important platform for domestic entrepreneurs.

In addition, special opportunities, stall allocation and mentorship activities also held for new entrepreneurs in this event.

Media personalities, women entrepreneurs from different parts of the country, corporate representatives, businessmen, investors, policymakers, students and professionals took part in the event, which was open to all.

In the concluding session, a special event was held to showcase domestic products on the occasion of Mother's Day.

The second day of the program began with a panel discussion on women's mental health titled 'Open your mind and talk'.

Sabina Sabi, Chairman of the 'Power of She' Trust, said that they have been working since 2017 for the purpose of women empowerment, skill development, entrepreneurship creation, health awareness and sustainable networking.

This summit has been working as an effective platform for women entrepreneurs regularly since 2020, she said.

Sabina Sabi said that this event will play an important role in women's leadership, entrepreneurship development and promotion of domestic products.

The event was packed with visitors, buyers and guests from different classes, professions and levels. Women entrepreneurs spent their time busy selling and buying. The live music performance of the “Dhaka Community Band” was a special attraction.

The two-day event ended with cultural performances including recitation and music.
