The current restriction of lockdown has been extended for another week to control coronavirus infection. A notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday (May 30) said that all previous restrictions have been extended from midnight on May 30 to midnight on June 6, given the current state of infection. Earlier, the current ban on corona virus control was extended by a week from May 23 to midnight on May 30, allowing all types of public transport, including inter-district buses, and sitting and eating in hotels and restaurants.

In the second phase of the strict curfew to control the spread of the epidemic corona, the country has been banned from leaving the country without emergency work since April 14, known as the “universal” lockdown. Within these restrictions, public and private offices are closed as before, except for emergency services.

However, manufacturing industries are allowed to operate in compliance with hygiene regulations. Inter-district buses as well as trains and launches were suspended after the start of the all-out lockdown.

Long-distance buses, trains or launches with half of the passengers started plying after May 23. Before Ramadan, restrictions were relaxed and shops and shopping malls were allowed to remain open from 10 am to 8 pm. That rule is still in force.

The government imposed restrictions to prevent coronavirus infection from April 5 to 11. It was finally extended to April 13. Then the ‘strict’ restrictions started from April 14. The term was extended several times by imposing and relaxing various conditions.

The latest notification was issued on May 23 by the Cabinet Division to extend the ban by one week. That restriction was effective until yesterday (May 30). But due to the increase of corona virus infection, lockdowns have been announced in some border districts of the country.
