Home Minister to visit Vienna to attend Global Fraud Summit 2026

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed is set to visit Vienna to participate in the two-day Global Fraud Summit 2026, scheduled to be held on March 16-17. 

The Minister will depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka on March 15 at 4:50pm on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET-679 to attend the summit, according to a ministry press release. 

After completing his visit, he is expected to return to Dhaka on March 20 at 5:35am on Turkish Airlines flight TK-712, it added.

The summit is jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and INTERPOL.

The summit will take place at the Vienna International Conference Center, where the Minister will lead a five-member Bangladesh delegation.

In addition to attending the opening and plenary sessions, the Home Minister will participate as a panelist in the high-level roundtable discussion titled "Global Fraud Response Mechanism." 

He will also take part in a high-level special session titled "National Commitments/Pledges on Combating Fraud."

On the sidelines of the summit, the Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with John Brandolino and the UK Home Secretary Lord Hanson.
