Jobaer Alam has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Department of Oceanography, University of Dhaka. On Thursday, this was informed in a letter signed by the Registrar of the university.

Three years back, Jobaer Alam took over as the Chairman of the Department of Oceanography. During that time, he organized an international conference on ‘Blue Economy’, an international seminar on ‘Sub-seasonal variability of the Ocean and Atmosphere’, ‘Ocean Day’ celebrations, Orientation Program, Picnic, four ‘Field Trips’, and other promotional and knowledge based activities.

He expressed his special gratitude and thanks to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Md Akhtaruzzaman for reappointing him as the Chairman. He also thanked to Pro-VC (Education) Professor Dr ASM Maqsud Kamal for his overall cooperation.
