vivo powers Bangladesh’s Victory at 39th Amateur Golf Championship

Under the power partnership of vivo Bangladesh and organized by the Bangladesh Golf Federation, Bangladesh secured top honors in both men’s and women’s categories at the 39th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship 2025.

The four-day tournament, held at Kurmitola Golf Club, featured participants from eight South Asian countries, including the host nation. In the men’s team event, Bangladesh ‘C’ (Md. Abdul Kader & Sharif Hossain) emerged as champions, with Bangladesh ‘A’ (Abu Bakar Siddique & Shafiqul Islam) finishing as runners-up. In the women’s team event, Bangladesh Women ‘A’ (Sonia Akter & Rinky Akter) claimed the title, while Bangladesh Women ‘B’ (Nasima Akter & Zaima Binte Hossain) were runners-up. Sharif Hossain and Sonia Akter also won the singles titles in their respective categories.

The trophies were presented by the Chief Guest, Chief of Army Staff and President of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, General Waker-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC. Other notable attendees included Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, OSP, BSP, NDC, HDMC, PSC, Senior Vice President of BGF; Hafizur Rahman, Vice President; Brigadier General (Retd.) Mohammad Said Siddiqui, Secretary General; Ahshan Rajib, Senior Manager (Corporate) of vivo Bangladesh; Brigadier General (Retd.) Abidur Reza Khan, Tournament Director; and Selim Fakir, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Youth & Sports.

As the power partner, vivo Bangladesh presented the winners with its latest flagship device, the X300 Pro, accompanied by a 2.35x telephoto extender kit developed in collaboration with ZEISS. Holes-in-One achievers also received exclusive vivo accessories.

To showcase international golf through cutting-edge technology, the X300 Pro’s 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto lens and 2.35x telephoto extender kit were used to capture key moments, distant action shots, and tournament highlights. The images were framed and gifted to the golfers and organizers, leaving them delighted and impressed by the device’s exceptional camera performance.

vivo Bangladesh’s partnership in the championship has strengthened Bangladesh’s presence in international golf while establishing a technology-driven benchmark for sports development and nurturing young talent in the country.
