New career portal 'nextjobz' launched

TBT DESK: The country's leading business conglomerate AKIJ Resource has launched a new career platform 'nextjobz' (nextjobz.com.bd) in order to make the recruitment process technology-based, easy and effective, as well as to make skill development, career guidance and corporate networking of the country's youth easier and smarter. This artificial intelligence-based platform will create a bridge between job seekers and employers and will play an important role in acquiring the necessary skills of job seekers.

Various programs of the country’s universities, as well as important information related to campuses, will also be available on this portal. In addition, all information related to higher education and global job opportunities abroad will be available on this career portal. Sheikh Jasim Uddin, managing director of AKIJ Resource, officially inaugurated the career portal at a function held at AKIJ House in the capital’s Tejgaon on Wednesday.

Addressing the occasion, Sheikh Jasim Uddin said, “AKIJ Resource is working tirelessly to improve the quality of life of the people of Bangladesh. That is why we are constantly coming up with new businesses and services. Bangladesh cannot grow at full speed if talent and industry continue to keep missing each other.Our goal is to directly create one million employment opportunities at AKIJ Resource. In addition, through this career portal, we will indirectly create various opportunities including higher education and employment for five million people at home and abroad.With the soft launch of NextJobz, our goal is simple enable faster, skill-driven hiring so companies can grow stronger and the economy can move forward.”

AKIJ Resource managing director Sheikh Jasim Uddin said during launch of Nextjobz- “Bangladesh cannot grow at full speed if talent and industry continue to miss each other.

He also said, “The job market in Bangladesh is rapidly transforming. We want to make the job search and recruitment process completely technology-based through nextjobz. We believe that this platform will play a positive role in the career development of the young generation. In addition, recruiters will be able to find qualified candidates according to their needs in the shortest time.”

Sheikh Jasim Uddin said, nextjobz is a platform that uses modern technology to find the right match between the skills of job seekers and the needs of the recruiters. As a result, time, cost and other related things will be significantly reduced in the recruitment process. We believe that technology will completely change the job market of the future. The career platform nextjobz will lead in this regard. This platform will not be just a job site, it will become a complete career solution, which will open new horizons in the future development of the country's human resources. It will take various activities to develop the skills of job seekers so that they can easily get their desired job.”

Shoeb Hassan, chief business officer at AKIJ Resource said that this platform will act as an experienced guide for job seekers. In addition to searching for jobs and advertising for jobs, real information about jobs and studies abroad will be available here. Through this career portal, job seekers will be able to apply for mentorship from skilled and experienced professionals in the country to develop their skills. Moreover, information about all job and education-related events in Bangladesh will be available on this career portal.
