DHAKA,  – Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP is now talking about personal matters without getting any issue, which goes beyond political courtesy.

“BNP is now talking about who wears which dress or wrist watch. They are now making personal attacks forgetting politics,” he told a regular press conference at his official residence.

Quader said BNP is now suffering from deep frustration after being isolated from the people.

“Because of frustration, BNP leaders are suffering from mental agony. Forgetting politics, they are now talking about other’s dress-up. You should see their own faces in the mirror before making comments against others,” he said.

About BNP leaders’ allegation that AL established monarchy in the country, he said not Awami League rather BNP’s political culture is to practice monarchism and dynasty.

Quader said during the BNP regime, everything was under control of a prince side by side Begum Khaleda Zia and he created an alternative power house and he was called as a ‘son of corruption”.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina didn’t bring her children to politics though the people wanted it, he added.

He said those, who made a convict as acting chairman of BNP avoiding seasoned and experienced politicians, established monarchy in the country.

The minister said BNP is spreading hatred against the government and even against the prime minister in the name of criticism.

Later, the minister virtually joined a discussion marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and golden jubilee of independence at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University in Tangail.

Speaking on the occasion, Quader said BNP observed the March 7 to undermine the spirit of the day.

They are also observing the golden jubilee of independence to distort the country’s settled history and truth, he added.

He said the nation will never tolerate their conspiracies.
