CA issues message on Public Engineering Day, IDEB's founding anniversary

Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus today issued a message on the occasion of the 'Public Engineering Day 2025' and the 55th founding anniversary of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB).

Public Engineering Day is celebrated in Bangladesh on 8th November, coinciding with the founding anniversary of IDEB.

"On the occasion of Public Engineering Day 2025 and the 55th founding anniversary of IDEB, I extend my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all members of the organization," Dr Yunus said in his message.

This year's theme, 'Skilled manpower - the cornerstone of nation building,' is very time befitting, he added.

The true strength of a nation lies not only in its natural resources but also in the knowledge, skills, and creativity of its people, he said.

Diploma engineers have long played a vital role in Bangladesh's development journey, said Dr Yunus, adding that from infrastructure and industry to various other sectors, their service and technical expertise have significantly contributed to building the foundation of modern economy.

As a leading professional organization, IDEB has been nurturing this skilled workforce, promoting technical education and encouraging innovation for sustainable growth.

"I firmly believe that through their continued commitment, professionalism and innovative spirit, IDEB members will remain at the forefront of our nation-building efforts - contributing to inclusive development and the realization of our national aspirations," the Chief Adviser said.

The Chief Adviser wished every success to all the programmes undertaken to mark Public Engineering Day and IDEB's founding anniversary.
