‘A terrible force’ behind the govt: Fakhrul
The BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that, there is ‘a terrible force’ behind the government. He accused that, the government of brutally torturing with the position of ‘a terrible force’ behind the government. Mirza Fakhrul made the allegation as a chief guest at a discussion meeting on Saturday afternoon. He said, If you open today’s newspaper, you will see that, the statement made by the cartoonist Kishore after his release from prison shows that, a terrible force is behind him, behind this government, the government has created a screen, from the screen, everyone is opposing this government. Anyone who opposes the head of state, whoever opposes the head of government, is inhumanely tortured to wipe them out.
Mirza Fakhrul said, today, the spirit of independence is completely wrong, it has destroyed democracy. It has made the state completely partisan, it has turned this state into a partisan state, a dysfunctional state, a failed state. Today, they have destroyed the soul of Bangladesh, the democracy that our soul has destroyed. They are destroying the whole nation just to create a circle of their own power, arrogance, self-reliance and corruption.
He said, Those of us who fought in the war are now bleeding all the time-that’s why we made the country independent. Fakhrul said, If we want to protect our independence today, if we want to bring out Begum Khaleda Zia who is imprisoned only for democracy, if we want to bring back our leader Tarique Rahman whom we want to lead the way, we want to withdraw the case against 35 lac leaders and workers.
If we want to release them from jail, we must bring the youth, the youth, to the forefront. Young people have always changed everything. Everyone is looking at us. Let us all unite and defeat this horrible fascist monster. They are looting our Bangladesh, they are looting thousands of crores.
