Robi sustains profit trajectory

Robi’s financial performance in Q3’25 released today, reflects resilience amid ongoing macroeconomic challenges. The company recorded a Profit After Tax (PAT) of 242.3 crore taka, demonstrating its ability to navigate through complex economic environment.

Robi ended the third quarter with a revenue of 2,511.4 crore taka following a decline of 1.7% compared to the last quarter (QoQ). However, compared to the same quarter last year (YoY), revenue went up by 1.5%. Although QoQ PAT saw a modest dip of 5.9%, the YoY PAT increased by 28.4%, underscoring steady progress over the year.

Commenting on the results, Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Ziad Shatara, said: Supported by relatively better economic outlook, we had an exceptional quarter in Q2’25, compared to Q3’25. Moreover, Q3’25 performance faced some headwinds from the extended monsoon impacting telecom spending by our subscribers. Nonetheless, we are pleased with the strong momentum in our cost efficiency program, which continues to provide us with the flexibility to sustain growth. We remain confident in our trajectory going forward.”

Earnings Before Income Tax, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) stood at 1,293.1 crore taka with a healthy margin of 51.5% by the end of Q3’25. Though QoQ EBITDA slightly decreased by 4% and YoY EBITDA fell by 3.5%, Robi exhibited a significant YoY PAT growth of 28.4%.

Robi contributed 1,382.7 crore taka to the Government Exchequer in Q3’25, representing 55% of total revenue. Capital expenditure (capex) investment reached 314.9 crore taka. Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the quarter was 0.46 taka, with a QoQ decrease of 5.9% but a robust YoY increase of 28.4%.

The active subscriber base grew to 5 crore 75 lakhs with an addition of one lakh new subscribers in Q3’25. Data subscribers increased by seven lakhs, reaching 4 crore 48 lakhs, while 4G subscribers rose by 11 lakhs to a total of 3 crore 96 lakhs.

By the end of Q3’25, 77.9% of Robi’s subscribers were data users and 69% were 4G users—the highest in the industry. The network now includes approximately 18,500 4G sites, providing coverage to 98.98% of the population.

Robi continues to build a strong foundation for sustained growth and innovation, adapting effectively to dynamic market conditions and advancing its leadership in the telecom sector.
