CA issues message on 52nd Summer National Sports Competition

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today issued a message marking the 52nd Summer National Sports Competition, to be organized by Krira Samity tomorrow.

In his message, the Chief Adviser said, “I am very happy to know that the 52nd Summer National Sports Competition of the Bangladesh National School, Madrasa and Technical Education Sports Association is being held with the theme ‘Building a country through sports skills, Bangladesh without discrimination’. I also welcome the initiative to publish a special souvenir titled Chowkash to commemorate this festival.”

Professor Muhammad Yunus said education and sports complement each other, adding that regular sports practice is essential for physical and mental well-being.

Apart from keeping the body healthy, he said, sports also instill discipline, morality, tolerance, and leadership qualities in students. Through sports, students can develop themselves as confident and responsible citizens, he added.

The Chief Adviser said the interim government, formed through the July Uprising, is committed to building a non-communal, science-minded nation based on morality and religious values. “I believe that organizing this major sports competition at the national level will help instill a sense of patriotism, mutual respect, and cooperation among our students. My sincere best wishes to the young students participating in the competition.”

He wished for the successful conclusion of the 52nd Summer National Sports Competition.
