Dighi as Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib in Bangabandhu biopic

Prarthana Fardin Dighi is going to play the role of Bangabandhu’s wife in the biopic of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu. She will be seen in the adolescent character of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib alias ‘Renu’. The actress will soon move to Mumbai to take part in the shooting. Earlier, she told the media about her audition experience and her busyness.

Child artist Dighi became everyone’s favorite through the dialogue “Baba jano amader ekta moyna pakhi achchhe na…” Dighi is now a college student. As a child artist, she has acted in about 36 films and won the National Film Award three times.

After a break of almost a decade, Dighi was supposed to return to the big screen with a biopic of the father of the nation. However, as the shooting was actually stopped due to Corona pandemic, started shooting with the movie “Tungipara’r Miya Bhai” of Shapla Media.

The actress auditioned for the movie Bangabandhu on BTV on February 9 last year. Regarding that experience, Dighi said that she is really proud to be able to act in Bangabandhu’s biopic.

Dighi was away from the media after her mother Doyle died in 2011. She currently has about half a dozen movie works in her hand.
“Bangabandhu’s biopic”, a joint production of Bangladesh and India, is set to be released this year after shooting.
