CHATTOGRAM, – Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal warned his side about the possible backlash of West Indies, saying that the visitors are capable of turning the things around.

Having said that Tamim further reminded that they need to collect the 10 points from the last match too to bolster their position in the ICC ODI Super League point table.

Bangladesh had already won the three-match series, winning the first two matches by six wickets and seven wickets respectively.

The Bangladesh ODI captain said each and every point in the series is important for a direct entry to the 2023 World Cup, so no matter whether they confirmed the series or not.

“We might win the series but there is still the chance to get 10 points,” Tamim said here today.

“West Indies couldn’t play well in the first two matches but they are a dangerous team and could turn the things around at any moment,” he added.

Bangladesh is going to bring up few changes to the side for the third ODI, Tamim said adding that those who will come are capable of winning the match.

“We could make very changes to the side but those who will come, I am sure, can win the match. They have in fact won us matches in the past and they have done really well. Everyone in our dressing room is motivated enough to do well. Hopefully the winning streak will go on,” Tamim remarked.

“But as I said earlier, tomorrow’s match is important. We might win the series but we can still get 10 points.”

Tamim said that despite winning the series, they have a lot to do in every department as they have many matches coming up at foreign soil.

“I am sure there is room for improvement. You can’t be perfect always but you can improve in three departments. We can improve in bowling and fielding. In batting, we had got good start but we couldn’t carry on. So we have to improve in those areas,” Tamim pointed out.

“There is the ICC ODI Super League and if we want to have a direct entry to the World Cup, improvement in every area is a must. We have to play at foreign soil and it is always tougher to play in different conditions. So we have to ensure that we can make all things perfect in International match,” Tamim concluded.
