Meeting held at the Ministry of Environment to implement the Mujib Year program.

A meeting chaired by Secretary Ziaul Hasan NDC was held at the meeting room of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change on Monday to implement the remaining programs taken on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

At the meeting, the environment secretary said that if the Covid situation becomes normal, a self-written writing and poetry competition based on Bangabandhu’s life will be organized. Besides, a Compilation will be published based on the instructions given by Bangabandhu and the steps taken in forest and environment development. The Environment Secretary instructed the Ministry officials and the heads of the agencies under it to carry out the remaining programs suspended with utmost sincerity. “We will remember the father of the nation by working for the overall environment development of the entire country, including the office courts,” he said.

Additional Secretary (Administration) Dr. Md. Billal Hossain, Additional Secretary (Environment) Mahmud Hassan, Additional Secretary (Environmental Pollution Control) Md. Moniruzzaman, Additional Secretary (Development) Ahmed Shamim Al Razi, Additional Secretary (Climate Change) Mizanul Hoque Chowdhury, Director General of Environment Dr. AKM Rafique Ahmmed , Md. Salah Uddin Chowdhury, Chairman of Forest Industry Development Corporation, Chief Conservator of Forests of Forest Department Md Amir Hossain Chowdhury, Director of Bangladesh National Herbarium Parimal Singh and senior officials of the ministry were present at the meeting.
