TBT DESK: LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC (LHB) has announced the appointment of Rupali Haque Chowdhury as an Independent Director to its Board.
Chowdhury, currently the Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh, brings with her over four decades of exemplary leadership in corporate governance and industrial development. Her vast experience and proven success in business management are expected to significantly contribute to LHB's strategic growth.
Welcoming her to the Board, Mr Christof Hässig, Chairman of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh, stated: "We are delighted to have Chowdhury join us. Her remarkable leadership and depth of experience, particularly in the building industry, will add tremendous value as we continue to expand our operations in Bangladesh."
In addition to her role at Berger Paints, Chowdhury serves as President of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Economic Zone Investors Association (BEZIA), and holds several key directorships, including at Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd, SMC Enterprise Ltd, Berger Fosroc Ltd, Jenson & Nicholson (Bangladesh) Ltd, and Berger Becker Bangladesh Ltd.
She holds a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Chemistry from the University of Chittagong and an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.
