TBT Desk: The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and Southeast University (SEU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote professional development and academic excellence in accounting education.
The signing ceremony, held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at SEU's Dhaka campus, was attended by Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, President of ICMAB, and Prof. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU, along with senior representatives from both institutions. From ICMAB, Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, Vice President; Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, Council Member; Md. Shafiqul Islam Talukder FCMA, Director (CAD); Abu Sayed Nooruddin Ahmed FCMA, Associate Professor & Head of CA & RAD; and Md. Abdul Maleque, Additional Director and Head of Education Department.
Representing SEU were M. Mofazzal Hossain, Ph. D, SM IEEE, Pro Vice Chancellor; Maj Gen Md Anwarul Islam, SUP, ndu, psc (Retd), Registrar; Prof. Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, Dean, of Southeast Business School, Southeast Business School; Prof. Dr. Tanvir Fittin Abir, Director, MBA Program; Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Director, BBA Program; Mohammad Nazmuddoza, Director, CPDSP Admission & Promotion; Dr. Md. Arafat Hossain, Assistant Professor; along with other senior faculty members.
Under the agreement, SEU BBA graduates will be eligible for course exemptions in ICMAB's CMA program based on specific criteria. Both organizations will also collaborate on academic initiatives, research, and professional development programs.
