DHAKA, —Beximco Dhaka captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and asked Fortune Barishal to bat first in the last game of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The match is particularly important for Tamim Iqbal-led Fortune Barishal to seal the playoffs. If they win the game, they will confirm the last four berths straightway but a defeat would ruin their possibility.

A defeat of Barishal may pave the way for Minister Group Rajshahi to play the playoffs.

Standing on that equation, Barishal brought up two changes with Mahidul Islam Ankan and Suhrawardi Shuvo replacing Irfan Shukkur and Salahuddin Shakil.

There is a lot at stake for Dhaka also in the match. A win would give them a guarantee for a top two finish and in that case they will play the first Qualifier which means they would get two shots for the final.

But a defeat of Dhaka means they would have to remain at third position and play an Eliminator game.

Dhaka however remained unchanged for this game.
