Aziz Ahmad honored with Lifetime SDG Award at Davos 2025

In a landmark moment during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Week in Davos, Aziz Ahmad, co-founder of CodersTrust, was presented with the Lifetime SDG Achievement Award by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Impact Initiative (UNSGII).

This prestigious accolade recognizes Mr. Ahmad’s groundbreaking contributions to education, skills development, and his unwavering commitment to advancing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on a global scale.

Upon receiving the award, Aziz Ahmad expressed heartfelt gratitude and dedicated the honor to his late co-founder, Ferdinand Kjærulff, a visionary leader from Denmark whose belief in the transformative power of technology and education laid the foundation for their shared mission.

“This award is not only a recognition of CodersTrust’s work but also a tribute to Ferdinand’s extraordinary vision—a world where technology becomes the key to unlocking human potential,” Ahmad remarked.

Under Ahmad’s stewardship, CodersTrust has empowered thousands across the globe by equipping them with digital skills and education, fostering sustainable growth in communities and nations alike.

He credited this achievement to the tireless efforts of his global team and the resilience of the students who have transformed their lives through CodersTrust programs.

“Education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. This honor is a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in turning the SDGs into a reality for everyone,” he added, while also acknowledging the vital leadership of Roland Sachs and the SDG Labs team for their efforts in advancing education’s role in global progress.

“Aziz Ahmad truly deserves this award for his relentless efforts to transform the lives of youth since 2014. UNGSII is honored to recognize CodersTrust and Aziz Ahmad for their unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation through digital skills training and creating opportunities. Aziz Ahmad exemplifies the spirit of all 17 SDGs.” – Roland Schatz, Founder of UNGSII

In addition to receiving the Lifetime SDG Achievement Award, Aziz Ahmad took center stage at the SDG Lab during WEF Davos 2025, where he delivered an inspiring keynote titled “AI Champions for the Common Good.”

His address focused on how artificial intelligence (AI) can be leveraged to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges, including hunger, food insecurity, water scarcity, and malnutrition.

Emphasizing the transformative potential of AI in achieving the SDGs, Ahmad highlighted innovative solutions that enhance agricultural productivity, combat nutritional deficiencies, and expand digital access in underserved regions.

“AI is a game-changer in tackling critical global issues. By harnessing its potential, we can create a more equitable and sustainable future for all,” he stated.
