NSU Alumni Association hosts NSU Alumni Iftar 2025

The North South University Alumni Association (NSUAA) hosted a vibrant and memorable Iftar event on Friday, March 28 at The Westin Dhaka, bringing together over 350 alumni from various graduating batches. The evening served as a meaningful opportunity for reconnection, celebration, and community engagement among former students of the university.

The event was honored by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor, NSU; Prof. Dr. AKM Waresul Karim, Dean, School of Business & Economics; Prof. Dr. Dipak Kumar Mitra, Dean, School of Health & Life Sciences; and Prof. Dr. Shazzad Hosain, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences.

The evening commenced with a welcoming note from Mr. Amzad Hussain, Convenor, NSUAA. In his remarks, Mr. Hussain highlighted the Association’s forthcoming plans, including a sports event and an alumni day out, aimed at further strengthening alumni engagement.

Following his address, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury delivered a warm greeting to the attendees, expressing his joy at witnessing such a large gathering of former students. He emphasized the enduring value of a strong alumni network and extended his best wishes to the NSUAA convening committee for their continued efforts.

A key highlight of the evening was the formal introduction of the NSUAA Convening Committee, who took the stage to share updates on the Association’s activities. The committee also launched the official NSUAA Membership Card, outlining its benefits and encouraging alumni to actively participate in future programs.

The formal proceedings were followed by a special dua, after which guests enjoyed a delightful iftar and dinner. The evening concluded on a high note, filled with laughter, shared memories, and a spirited photo session — a true reflection of the camaraderie that defines the NSU alumni community.
