DHAKA, -Joshefights Club and Dhumketu Club won their respective matches of the Bangabandhu UniMed UniHealth Premier Division Basketball League held today at Dhanmondi Wooden Floor Gymnasium in the city.

In the day’s first match, Joshefights beat Bakshi Bazar Club by 53-46 points after leading the first half by 25-19 points. In the day’s match, Raim was the highest scorer with 16 points while Nadir Ul caged 14 points for Joshefights. Saiful scored 11 points and Aritro scored 8 points for Bakshi Bazar.

In the day’s second match, Dhumketu Club defeated Old DOHS by 79-68 points after dominating the first half by 49-33 points. In the proceeding, Shoyeb was the highest scorer with 23 points and Mithun caged 17 points for Dhumketu. Tutul scored 23 points and Mahin scored 13 points for Old DOHS.

The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the league will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at the same venue with Bangladesh Basketball Federation president Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin is expected to present in the ceremony as the chief guest and distribute the prizes.
