Hafez Kamrul Alom to Lead Taraweeh Prayers in the UK This Year

Hafez Kamrul Alom, a popular Quran recitation qari on social media, is known as the "second Sudais of Bangladesh." His recitations are heard by people from different countries. This year, he will lead the Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan at the Chester Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Centre in Chester City, England.

Previously, he led the Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan in the Maldives in 2023 and 2024, at the invitation of the government.

This year, he has received invitations from several countries to lead Taraweeh prayers, including invitations from mosques in Canada, France, and England, as well as the Maldives.

Hafez Kamrul Alom is currently serving as an Imam at the Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Centre in Chester, England. He is the second child of Mawlana Mahbubur Rahman and Shaheda Begum from Hashampur village in Shadar Union of Balaganj Upazila, Sylhet. He was admitted to the madrasah while studying in primary school. After completing the Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examination, he completed the Hifzul Quran on his own accord within two years.
