The Council Meeting of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) was held virtually yesterday, November 20, 2020 in London, UK. Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman joined it as an elected ACU Council Member.

Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman in his speech emphasized on enhancement of mutual cooperation among ACU member universities in the fields of higher education and research. He extended an invitation to Honorable ACU Council Members and ACU member universities to attend international conferences and other programs to be held next year marking Dhaka University Centenary celebration.

In observance of DU Centenary celebration ACU Council members greeted DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, all teachers, students, alumni and others concerned of the university. Besides, ACU expressed its willingness to provide all out support and cooperation to higher education and research to enhance inter-university relations centering DU Centenary celebration.
