The Bangladesh Today pays homage to Bangabandhu’s portrait

Today is mournful August 15. The whole nation lament in this day in order to commemorate the loss of the father of the nation- Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman – who is revered as the main architect and visionary of an independent Bangladesh. On this day, in 1975, perpetrators including some aberrant members of the Bangladesh armed forces seized control of his residence in Dhanmondi 32 and killing him with his entire family. His demise marks the beginning of a dark era that ensued for several decades in the country.
The nation lost its soul and the emergence of the Bengali nation as a powerhouse of the world was put on hold for indefinite period.
To observe the 43rd death anniversary of the father of the nation, the entire ‘The Bangladesh Today’ family consisting of the news daily’s Editor and Publisher, Jobaer Alam; Adviser, Mollah Md. Abu Kawser; Assistant General Manager, Moniruzzaman Manik; Chief Reporter, Md. Shahjahan Kabir; IT Executive, Md. Biplob Mia and other offical staffs flocked to the ‘Bangabandhu Memorial Museum’ in Dhanmondi 32. At 8.30 am in the morning, they paid homage by placing a flowery garland in the pedestal of Bangabandhu’s effigy.
