TBT Desk : Md Shahidullah, valiant Freedom Fighter and circulation manager of the national daily ‘The Bangladesh Today’ (TBT) passed away due to gastric cancer with liver metastasis at a hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The 70-year-old breathed his last around 1:30pm at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) premises. Md Shahidullah left behind three sons, two daughters and host of relatives to mourn his death.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) premises in the city on Wednesday. He will be buried at his village in Char Madhobroy on Thursday.

Md Shahidullah worked for 18 years at the ‘The Bangladesh Today’ as the circulation manager. He is the son of late Sirajul Haque Sikder and late Mariyam Begum of Char Madhobroy village in Kajirhat thana of Barishal.

The Bangladesh Today family expressed deep shock at the demise of Md Shahidullah and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
