2020 JSC-JDC examination canceled

The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations of 2020 will not be held.Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair said this in a briefing.

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has said that due to coronavirus infection, the Central Primary and Ibtedayi Education Completion (PEC) examination will not be held earlier this year. Annual examinations will be taken at the school instead of at the end.

Meanwhile, an online meeting was held on Thursday with the participation of senior officials of the Ministry of Education and heads of various departments and agencies under the ministry. It was chaired by the Minister of Education, Dipu Moni.

In the meeting it was also decided to extend the ongoing holidays of all educational institutions in the country except the Qaumi Madrasa till October 3 due to the global epidemic.

During the meeting, the minister directed the teachers of secondary, higher secondary, madrasa and technical schools to keep the students motivated through direct communication or using social media in compliance with the health rules during the coronation period.

Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Mahbub Hossain, Secretary of the Department of Technical and Madrasa Education, Aminul Islam Khan and other officials of the Ministry of Education and officials of the departments under the Ministry were present.
