Youth ventures thrive during COVID-19

Launched in 2015, an online retailer Kabuliwalaa started its journey on earth to bring the lucrative feelings among shoppers who wants to purchase quality products at affordable cost and to get hassle-free delivery right at their doorstep.

The thought of Kabuliwalaa resembles business traveler what exactly Pashtun merchants of Kabul used to do in Indian sub-continent while door to door travelling. It aims to make you shopping globally to strike a balance between the luxury shopping experience and retail solutions. The company intends to set up future extensions to go global and aim at connecting huge retail customer traffic into all over the world that en route to its journey towards a big company.

Kabuliwalaa was founded by Md. Jabed Hossain, and some of his close allies. Hossain is a young entrepreneur and promising social worker in Bangladesh who is also founding vice president of Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE).

The company initially focused on t-shirt sales, before expanding into other product categories such as diamond jewelry, consumer electronics, fashion, health & beauty care products, other lifestyle products, home appliances, grocery etc. It also offers the festive in-season products.

It transfigures zero- tolerance policy on product’s quality is what makes Kabuliwalaa one of promising and fast-growing startup, which products and services is loved by online shoppers nationwide. Their motto is: an order with Kabuliwalaa comes with authentic product and hassle-free delivery.

Kabuliwalaa Enterprise Limited is the registered business name of Kabuliwalaa.com. The Name “Kabuliwalaa” and “Kabuliwalaa logos”, other Kabuliwalaa trademarks, service marks, copyrights are under licensed by Kabuliwalaa Enterprise limited.

In 2016, a project by Kabuliwalaa, was launched- to support underprivileged people by providing school kit to students for proper education and distribute over 5000 blankets countrywide among helpless people who were suffering a miserable life in winter. During covid-19 pandemic outbreak with YSSE they have distributed daily necessities among 100 families, food assistance among 100 vulnerable and needy people, organized Iftar for 5 orphanage homes.

In 2017, Kabuliwalaa for entrepreneurs, a special program (in collaboration with YSSE) was launched- aim was to motivate young entrepreneur by providing hands on lesson and mentoring them for ease guidelines. It has been supporting events like Next Generation Carnival-2017, Social Entrepreneurship Summit-2018, Digital Marketing Mastermind, Campus based program like Bangladesh Youth Symposium etc.

In April 2020, it launched Kabuliwalaa fresh, an online grocery loyalty mart, currently available at Mirpur only but soon plans to expand across Dhaka Metro. Same day and early morning delivery make impeccable day-to-day mart easier than before.

The journey has been so far commendable; within few years it has been able to make strong its position as an online store of luxurious shopping experience. The online retail company eventually deals with challenges to make a shopping environment where people can sign-in and sign-out with a lovely smile on face.
