Masum Billah, the driver of the Jabal-e-Nur bus, will be placed on a seven-day remand in a case filed over the death of the two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College on Dhaka Airport Road on Sunday last.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate HM Toaha granted the remand after Inspector of Detective Branch of police Kazi Shariful Islam produced him before the court with a seven-day remand prayer on Wednesday.

Earlier, Rab arrested five people — three drivers including Masum Billahand two helpers — over the accident and handed them over to the police on Monday.

The court will hear the 10-day remand prayers of two other bus drivers Jubair, MsSohag Ali and two helpers MdRipon and MdEnayeton August 6.
