THAKURGAON, – Three people were killed and four others injured in a road accident at Kadshuka point on the Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road in Baliadangi upazila of the district last night.

“The accident occurred when a truck hit an auto-rickshaw there around 10 pm killing two passengers of the three-wheeler on the spot and injuring five others,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baliadangi police station Hasibul Alam Prodhan told BSS today.

Being informed, police forces from Baliadangi police station and firefighters from Baliadangi Fire Service and Civil Defence Station rushed to the spot, rescued the injured people and sent them to Baliadangi Upazila Health Complex.

Later, one of the injured persons succumbed to injuries on his way to the health complex.

“The deceased were identified as passengers of the auto-rickshaw Sadekul Islam of village Suparipara and Rafikul Islam and its driver Shahidul Islam of village Balapur in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon,” the OC said.

An unnatural death case was filed in this connection with Baliadangi police station today.
