12 shops fined TK 9,200 in defiance of COVID- 19 guidelines in Khulna

KHULNA, – Different mobile courts in a series of drives fined a dozen shops and business outlets around TK 9,200 for flouting corona virus health safety guidelines in Khulna.

The Executive Magistrates Mohammad Mizanur Rahman,Tapsi Rabeya, Setu Kumar Barua and Mohammad Tahmidul Islam of Khulna district administration conducted special mobile courts and fined the shops mostly saloons, department and cosmetics stores and other business outlets in the last 24 hours ending 10 am today.

The courts filed 12 cases against the shops for not abiding by the health safety guidelines and rules , set by the government including unnecessary movement without wearing masks and noncompliance of social distancing.

Khulna Metropolitan Police and members of Ansar and other law enforcing agencies assisted the mobile courts which conducted in different parts of the city .

Additional District Magistrate Mohammad Yousuf Ali said some of the shops have also been fined and sued which were found running their business activities beyond the time, fixed by the government .

“ Such initiatives of the district administration will continue to compel the organizations and individuals to abide by the health safety rules for containing COVID -19 pandemic’ Yusuf Ali added .
