SAVAR,  – Jahangirnagar University (JU) student leaders urged university authorities to increase budget allotment in research activities as they were in virtual discussion organized by JU Journalists’ Association (JUJA) on Thursday night.

Addressing the meeting, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) JU unit President Jewel Rana said government always allocate a significant number of financial allotment for Jahangirnagar University.

“So we hope the university authorities will take proper initiative to increase budget allotment in research activities,” he said.

President of Bangladesh Students Union of JU parliament MikhaPiregu, General Secretary of Jahangirnagar Cultural Alliance Shohanur Rashid Moon Gazi, President of Bangladesh Chhatra Adhikar Parishad of JU unit Armanul Islam Khan, General Secretary of JU unit Chhatra Dal Abdur Rahim Shaikat also participated in the discussion conducted by JUJA General Secretary Md Mahbub Alam.

The virtual gathering was arranged as a part of JUJA’s initiative to discuss contemporary affairs in a function titled `JabisusAlapon’ started on Facebook from June 9.

The next program will be held on the official Facebook page of the organization www.facebook.com/JUJA1972/ with the participation of the university’s senate members.
