DHAKA, – The government in coordination with Bangladesh High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) has arranged second chartered flight from London to bring back Bangladeshi nationals who have been stuck in the UK amid flight suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft will depart from Terminal 2 of Heathrow Airport at 10 am (London time) on June 13 carrying stranded Bangladeshi nationals, a press release issued by Bangladesh High Commission in the UK said here today.
The mission urged all intending passengers to register through the Bangladesh High Commission London link – https://forms.gle/qFXRvriFCLUUVV857 – for secure their seats at the flight.
The release said seat arrangement of the flight will be made maintaining social distancing while the ticket prices were fixed at 600 pounds for economy class and 1435 pounds for business class.
On May 11, the government first brought back 114 stranded Bangladeshi nationals from London by a special chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh airlines.
Apart from UK, Bangladesh so far repatriated stranded Bangladeshis from the USA, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
Other countries, including India, the UK, India, Japan, Canada, Australia, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Bhutan, Myanmar and different European countries also operated several special chartered flights amid the flight suspension to repatriate their citizens from here.
On May 25, Bangladesh extended the ongoing ban on flight operation for the seventh consecutive time till June 15 over the coronavirus fear while it resumed flights on domestic routes on June 1.
