Shahadat Sumon, JU correspondent: The activist of Jahangirnagar University (JU) branch Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday brought out a protest march demanding the brutal murder of two BCL activist in Khulna and Noakhali.

On Tuesday (March 3) with the association of hundreds of BCL activist the procession began at the university`s Murad Chatter area which ended with a short rally at the central Shaheed minar after parading the various roads of the campus.

At the rally, they demanded the immediate trial of the brutal murder of two BCL activist Rakib Hayder in Noakhali and Hadiuzzaman Rasel in Khulna and bring under exemplary punishment those involved,

Addressing the rally, M Mainul Islam Rajan, joint office secretary of JU branch Chhatra League, said, “Jamaat and its wing islami Chhatra Shibir are involved in the murder of Rakib and Rasel. We urged the govt. to ensure maximum punishment of the murderer so that none can dares to commit such crimes.

“When the BCL protests against any wrongdoing, it is given a terrorist plot. However, at the time of the brutal murder of our brothers, the modest society is now calm as the negative news of BCL has seen only in media” He added.

Meanwhile, Branch BCL vice-president Mizanur Rahman, Zahirul Islam Babu, Bayazid Rana Collings and Azizur Rahman Lilu, joint general secretary Affan Hossain Apon, organizing secretary Md. Tarique Hasan, Abhishek Mondal and Pankaj Kumar Das, joint Religious Secretary Ahsan Habib Miraj, joint International Affairs Secretary Ismail Hossain among others present on the protest program.
