First reunion of JU MMH Hall held

Shahadat Sumon, JU Correspondent:The former and current residential students of the Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall (MMH) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) organised its first reunion on the campus today amid much festivity.

JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the daylong programme at the hall premises as chief guest around 10 am in the morning.

Marking the day the students of the hall brought out a colorful rally from hall premises. After parading different streets of the campus the rally terminated at the same place.

More than three thousands of former and current students of the hall took part at the rally while Vice Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam attended the rally as the chief guest.

Presided over by the convener of the reunion committee and Vice Chancellor of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University Professor Dr Md Alauddin, founded provost of the hall Professor Dr Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, former student and former vice chancellor of JU Professor Dr. Shariff Enamul Kabir, former Pro- VC Professor Dr. Imam Uddin and Former provost of the hall and former Vice Chancellor of Comilla University Professor Dr Amir Hossain were spoke in the inaugural session.

Conducted by the Member Secretary of the reunion committee and director of Sirajganj Economic Zone Sheikh Monwar Hossain, JU Pro- VC (Administration) Professor Dr. Amir Hossain, Pro- VC (Education) Professor Dr. NurulAlam, Treasurer Sheikh Md. Monzurul Huq and MMH hall provost Professor Dr. Obaidur Rahman were present at the inaugural ceremony, among others.
