Solasta, world-class fashion brand launches for the youth of Bangladesh
Youth means our today and tomorrow. Young people are the rightful holder of a time and its sole translator. That is why it is important to be with the young, to understand their dimensional feelings and perceptions. More than half the populations in Bangladesh are young. The information technology and global reach have led these youth develop a multi-faceted creativity. Their lifestyle reflects the diversity of the world, due to their greater reach out. Everything they come across, they first verify; these days, they are brand conscious.
To meet the fashion need of this young, bright and resourceful generation of Bangladesh SOLASTA just launched its vogue journey with the motto, ‘Be New, Be You’.
The grand ceremony was held at the Utsav Banquet Hall of Hotel Radisson Blu Water Garden yesterday evening. The home-bred world-class fashion brand SOLASTA is a sole endeavor of Modele Group, a 25-year long globally acclaimed garments manufacturer and exporter of Bangladesh.
Eminent cultural personality and former cultural minister Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor MP graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest while BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq was present as the Special Guest. A successive CIP certified entrepreneur, the mastermind and Managing Director of Modele Group, Mr. Masuduzzaman presided over the festive occasion.
The celebration began over cake-cutting by distinguished guests followed by handing over special gifts, paintings from famous artists, on behalf of SOLASTA.
Lauding the effort of SOLASTA, Asaduzzaman Noor in his speech said, till today we have primarily served the world industry with products made with our own skill and efficiency. We have achieved a lot in terms of economic development, but we are yet to shine our image before the international audience. It’s time we rise up with our own brand with the tagline, Made in Bangladesh. I believe, SOLASTA, will fill in the blank space with their talent and commitment.
Dr. Rubana Huq in her inspiring speech said, the pride and heritage of Bengal like the muslin and the jamdani today are facing challenge caused by the lack of our care and commitment. This needs to change. I want for SOLASTA and you all to propagate this branding Bangladesh initiative all across the world.
Masuduzzaman said, SOLASTA means vividness, brilliance and brightness. SOLASTA is all about coolness and happiness. We aim high to raise our image before the world. With your support and love, we sure will win the global youth simultaneously winning the young heart of our own in country.
The SOLASTA joy ride took off over a cool Laser Beam and Animation show. This was followed by attractive fashion choreography by the popular theater group `Prachyanat’ showing the evolution of fashion-trend in Bangladesh and then a dazzling ramp show led by top fashion stylist Azra Mahmood. SOLASTA’s official launching ceremony came to an end over an hour-long musical soiree by Chirkut, one of the leading musical bands in the country and a sumptuous dinner in honor of the invited guests.
The merriment at one stage turned into a get-together of eminent faces from the business, literature, education, sports, culture and political arena including youngsters and students of different universities as well as host of print and electronic media.
