9 RU students selected for PM Gold Medal

Mujahid Hossain, RU Correspondent: A total of nine students from different faculties of the Rajshahi University (RU) have been selected for the Prime Minister Gold Medal award-2018 for their outstanding academic results.

The selected students are: Abu Bakar Siddique of Arabic department under the Faculty of Arts (GGPA- 3.916), Orindam Biswas of Law department under the Faculty of Law (CGPA- 3.55), Mitu Parveen of Economics department under the Faculty of Social Science (CGPA- 3.916), Samme Amena Tasmiyan of Statistics department under the Faculty of Science (CGPA- 3.95), Sohel Rana of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology department under the Faculty of Life and Earth Science (CGPA- 3.878), Israt Jahan of Finance and Banking department under the Faculty of Business (CGPA- 3.96), Mahfuzur Rahman of Information and Communication Engineering department under the Faculty of Engineering (CGPA- 3.916), Sabina Yasmin of Veterinary and Animal Sciences under the Faculty of Agriculture (CGPA- 3.915) and Subrata Ghosh, a medical college student affiliated to the Medical Faculty.

From 2005, every year the University Grants Commission (UGC) honours brilliant students with this medal for their outstanding academic result.
