BSU JU unit gets new executive body

Shahadat Sumon, JU correspondent: Bangladesh Students’ Union of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit announced its 29-member new executive body for the next one year.

Mikha Peregu of Marketing department and Rakibul Roni of Urban and Regional Planning department of the university’s 44th batch was made the president and General Secretary to the new committee respectively.
The executive body was announced through the 29th council of the university unit that was held at the Central Cafeteria on Thursday night.

The other committee members were Vice-President Tushar Dhor, Kaberi Sultana Joti, Zobayer Kamal, assistant secretaries Refat Khan Anik and Fahim mukararab. organizing secretary Tasbibul Gani Niloy, Treasurer Hasan Jamil, office secretary Ataul Haque Chowdhury Afridi, Education and research secretary Saleh Bin Saad Tapu, School-student affairs secretary Amorta Roy, Science and technology secretary Imran Nayeem Tarun, publicity secretary Imtiaz Arnab, Cultural secretary Hriddha Aninda Ganguli, Sports secretary Alif Mahmud, social welfare secretary Mahisun Rasti.

Besides, Nazir Amin Chowdhury Joy, Ariful Islam Anik, Nusrat Tuba, Hasan Rabbi, AS Saikat, Sadia Moon, Ashfar Rahman Nabin, Ahmed Nirjhar, Ferdous Ahsan, Arnab Siddiqui are also as executive members.

Meanwhile, BSU urged 29 point demand to the university authorities on their 29th council. Such as to Constitute the structuralism of JUCSU and to update the final voter list of JUCSU election, providing academic e-mails to lawful students, expanding free internet services with IDs of every lawful students, canceling the attendance number system, and immediately renovating Swimming Pool at the current location etc.
