KCC mayor opens women students’ hall at KAU

KHULNA,  – Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque here today inaugurated a temporary women students’ hall of Khulna Agriculture University (KAU) in Boyra area in the city.

He opened the hall as the chief guest in a simple ceremony at the auditorium on the hall premises this evening.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Khulna Range Dr. Khondkar Mohiuddin and Deputy Police Commissioner of KMP Ihsan Shah were present at the function as the special guests, while KAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Shahidur Rahman Khan chaired it.

Register of KAU Dr. Khondkar Mazharul Anwar delivered the welcome speech while student of KAU Mahirul Hoque Shilong moderated the event.

Khaleque underscored the need for ensuring proper use of resources saying that Bangladesh is a country with immense potentials as it has huge human resources and fertile arable land. Utilization of these resources in a planned way must be ensured for the development of this populous country, he added.

He called upon all to make efforts to materialize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh in line with Vision-2021 and Vision-2041 and the 100-year Delta Plan -2100 designed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Mohiuddin said all necessary steps will be taken to ensure security of this women students/ hall.

Councilors of KCC, treasurer and registers of KAU, teachers, students, officials of law-enforcement agencies and local government bodies were present at the event.
